Gordon Bennett Rally June 2008

Following the success of the Gordon Bennett Centenary Rally in 2006 and 2007, we are staging the 2008 Rally which is open to all vintage, veteran and classic cars, motorcycles and commercials registered prior to 1976. The Rally is based in County Laois and takes in counties Kildare and Carlow to commemorate the original Gordon Bennett 'the race that saved motor sport'.

The Classic Car Run is organised by a group of local vintage / classic car owners in conjunction with Laois Tourism and Ballinakill Vintage and Classic Car Owners Club.

Entry Fee is €30.00 (Stg£23.50) and covers four days. All participants will receive a commemorative plaque of the rally.

Electric Picnic 2008

Electric Picnic has established itself as a truly unique Irish festival, set amid the rolling lawns of Stradbally Hall, Co Laois, a beautiful 600 acre estate just 50 mins from Dublin.

The festival in 2008 will maintain the capacity of last year's festival at 35,000 and the three day camping event will feature the usual circus of music, theatrics, comedy, holistic health, art....all with the usual sprinkling of magic fairy dust.
